Skill in Demand visas
Live and Work in Australia in Occupations That Matter Most
Australia is always looking for skilled people to help grow the economy and support its industries. If your skills are in demand, you may be eligible to live and work in Australia through a skilled migration visa. At Skybound Migration, we help individuals with the right qualifications and experience apply for Skills in Demand Visas — and take the next step towards permanent residency.
Whether you’re a nurse, engineer, teacher, ICT professional, tradesperson or another skilled worker, this visa can open the door to a new life in Australia.
What Is a Skills in Demand Visa?
A Skills in Demand Visa (often referred to as General Skilled Migration or GSM visas) allows skilled workers from overseas to live and work in Australia based on the needs of the labour market. These visas are points-tested and prioritise occupations listed on Australia’s Skills Occupation Lists, such as the MLTSSL (Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List) and STSOL (Short-Term Skilled Occupation List).
The government updates these lists regularly to reflect areas where skilled workers are most needed.
