Other Australian Visa Types

Protection, Carer, Humanitarian, and More

Helping You Explore Every Path to Australia Australia offers a diverse range of visa options beyond skilled, family, and student categories. At Skybound Migration, we understand that your journey may be unique — and sometimes, that means applying for a visa that doesn't fit the standard pathways. Whether you're visiting for medical treatment, reuniting with family, or facing urgent humanitarian circumstances, we're here to help you navigate your options with expert care and guidance.

What Is a Skills Assessment?

A skills assessment is a formal review of your qualifications, work experience, and skills to ensure they meet Australian standards for your nominated occupation. This evaluation is conducted by a relevant Australian assessing authority (such as Engineers Australia, VETASSESS, ACS, ANMAC, etc.). A positive skills assessment is often a mandatory requirement for GSM visas (like Subclass 189, 190, and 491) and most employer-sponsored visas (such as Subclass 186 or 482).

What Do “Other Visa Types” Include?

We support clients with the following specialised or less common Australian visa subclasses:

For individuals who:

  • Have no close family outside Australia
  • Are financially dependent on an Australian relative
  • Wish to permanently reunite with ageing family members
